Building Connections: Mood and Motion Therapy at SDA’s Wellness Fair

Samantha Steinberg at an event for Mental Health Awareness

Last week, Samantha, an AMFT at Mood and Motion Therapy, attended San Dieguito High School Academy’s Wellness Fair - an event bringing together over 40 local organizations focused on mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. With around 600 students rotating through booths, the day was full of energy, curiosity, and connection.

Samantha had the opportunity to share about Mood and Motion Therapy while engaging with students, staff, and fellow community providers. Conversations were approachable and meaningful, opening the door to therapy support options for teens.

The experience felt especially significant for Samantha, who once attended San Dieguito Academy as a student, and later returned to work within the school’s counseling department before joining Mood and Motion Therapy. Being back on campus in this new role brought a sense of full circle, as she continues to support teens in a community that helped shape her.

Events like SDA’s Wellness Fair are a powerful reminder of how important it is to make mental health support visible, accessible, and approachable for our communities.
